A driver on a lonely Nevada highway says two tall gray figures ran across the road in front of him, on two legs, and that the truck behind him braked first. He posted the account on r/Humanoidencounters, dated October 11, 2026 at about 10:30 p.m., on Highway 95 between Fallon and Lovelock.
Dread, Then Brake Lights
The driver was coasting along with a semi about 200 feet behind him when a feeling of dread came over him, something he says he has never experienced. Then he heard the semi hit its brakes hard and saw it slam to a stop in his rear-view mirror. He assumed a deer had run out. As he looked back at the road, two figures sprinted across it.
They were human in form but very tall and a solid gray, with no features he could make out. He saw the outline of legs and arms, fingers, and what looked like a mist around them as they moved very fast. It all happened so quickly his brain barely processed it. In an addition to the post, he says the figures were seen in side profile and looked very smooth, almost without definition in the body. He also says he has had a heavy sadness and dread since, and cannot shake it.
The Semi Detail
What stuck with him most is what the trucker did. Afterward, the semi backed way off and drove under the speed limit. At one point both vehicles were going 15 miles under the limit, and the trucker never tried to catch up, as if he did not want to be near the car. The driver wonders whether the trucker saw the same thing. It is a small detail, but it is the kind that makes the account more interesting, because the semi braked before the driver saw the figures.

The poster answered that skinwalker lore is Navajo and tied to Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah, so he ruled it out. He says Fallon has been his base for many years of travel. He had not heard strange stories about this road before, and noted that it is far from Area 51 and that the Lovelock giants are long gone. My Take
I would call this 60 percent open. It is a brief encounter at night at speed, and the poster himself considered fatigue and wondered if he was hallucinating. Deer standing on hind legs is a stretch, but a long night drive, glare and a startled brain can do strange things. Still, he is a regular on that road and his reaction afterward is notable. The brake lights are the piece that interests me most, because it is the one part someone else could confirm.
