The user was digging through a kitchen cabinet a couple of years ago when they accidentally knocked loose what they described as “this petri-dish looking thing.” They heard it land. Then they went to pick it up, and it was gone.
An Object With Nowhere to Go
What makes the account stand out is not the object itself but the geometry of the room. As the poster explained, “our kitchen is separate from our dining room, so there’s no furniture it could’ve gone under.” The only hiding spots would have been underneath the fridge or the stove, but both appliances have since been replaced, and the dish was not under either one when they were moved.
